This ceramic making workshop, held towards the end of 2024, using Chuen Lung soil to host a farewell ceremony to mark the end of 2024.

Participants will start by immersing their hands into the clay, feeling the texture, giving time for them to think over the year of 2024, and what to establish in 2025.

At the end of the workshop, they will craft their own ceramics, possibly a small plate or cup designed as a 2025 wish card.

*The ceramics will be fired at the studio before being returned to the participants in 2025.

About the Facilator

Rose Chan graduated from the School of Visual Arts of the Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2020.

After graduation, she founded ‘Birch Ceramics’, a ceramic studio with the intention of creating a space where she can create her own work, share the beauty in her heart, and give people a space in the city to be healed by the beauty of ceramic-making .
