Workshop #1:
Chemigram & Low-toxicity Plant Chemistry
In this workshop, we will be foraging plants from the local areas of Chuen Lung, with which we will create plant-based developer. The resulting developer will be used for making chemigrams – that are unique, abstract and camera-less photographic prints.

Workshop #2:
Photowalk & Film Processing with Plant-Developer
In a group, we will be doing a photowalk around the area of Chuen Lung – with a twist that everyone will share the same roll of film! At the end of the walk, the film will be processed with plant-developer, and Alice will discuss the experimentations and recipes she tinkered with during this residency.

Roundtable Discussion:
Cultivation of Sustainable Art Practices
As part of the residency programme, and also as our aim to bridge visual arts with topics on local ecology and the different ways we could consider ‘sustainability’, we will be hosting a Roundtable with discussants from different backgrounds – to discuss ‘sustainability’ in their respective contexts, and what practical actions we may cultivate as artists, arts organisations, educators, and so on, to fulfil our responsibility to the environment.
