《太平》指向今刻紛擾中的平靜，並試圖在這些「平面」中尋找逃離的缺口。
藝術家去掉影像用以敘事的外殼，他希望策展出一件獨一無二的藝術形體，讓觀眾能夠透過一系列象徵，讓符碼在自身與觀者各自經驗碰撞下，建構彼此獨一無二的構句語調；繼而讓創作者從中逃脫和恢復，一如其自身所渴望從他在過往從事新聞攝影中揭示的創傷中，解脫開來、繼續邁步前進一樣。
Bio
Jeff Cheng obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University, and his Master’s from the Department of Fine Arts, Chinese University of Hong Kong. After years of recognition in documentary/ photojournalism competitions, he is now experimenting with other genres. Seeing that the bodily experience of photographing is often forgotten, Cheng is observing the nature of the object itself in an effort to complete his own visual sentences.
