Following Mapping Architecture 一 Photogrammetry Workshop #01, where the spatial concepts in architecture and design were covered, and digital models of overlapping images from different angles were created, Mono Tung is coming back to Chuen Lung again with the second part of the workshop to share with us the connections between AI generation technology and architectural design, as well as photography art.

Part One:

After participants have explored and photographed Chuen Lung, Mono will guide them to import their photos into MidJourney, which will recreate the landscapes of the village. Participants will then deconstruct the differences between the real landscapes images and the AI generated images, to learn the “language” of AI databases, and appreciate the unique scenery through the eyes of AI.

Part Two:

Participants will break into small groups to discuss the topic of “Imaginary Chuen Lung,” sharing their ideas on structures or installations they wish to add to the village, as well as which traditional buildings or landscapes lost to history they want to recreate. After the discussion, they will use MidJourney to visualize these ideas onto maps and photos of Chuen Lung, allowing the past and future to converse to create a paradise of imagination!
