About the Event
Ki Wong has a vast collection of stories and old family portraits from her residency in Chuen Lung. Each object and anecdote contains a snippet and continuation of time, and together with poet Sim Lau, Ki gazed upon those moments-in-tatters, leading to the creation of “The Rock and the Gaze”. In this Photography Salon session, Ki and Sim will be sharing observations on the changing role and lives of women in villages as depicted in “Your Gaze”; the home-building process in “the Rock’s Gaze”; as well as their thoughts on the interplay of images and texts from their many collaborations.
