Festival Coordinator (project-based, asap til early Dec 2021)
Launched in 2010, the Hong Kong International Photo Festival has always focused on facilitating photographic discourse, experiments and imaginations. In the midst of global instability, and under a shrinking ceiling for free expression, we are learning, seeking ways to sustain conversations and efforts.
The Festival 2021 will kick-off next month with screenings, exhibitions and public outreach events and happenings. We are looking for a project-based Festival Coordinator who is immediately available to join the team full-time until early December and facilitate the implementation of the 2021 Festival, specifically on:
–Coordinating the public programmes and outreach activities including artist talks, guided visits for the public, schools and people with special needs, audio description screenings and access tours;
–Coordinating productions of materials and arrangements of services such as audio guide and oral description screenings;
–Assisting with the execution of the Festival marketing campaign and publicity content management;
–Assisting with the onsite operation of the festival events; and
–Supporting HKIPF 2021 in such other capacities as may be required or requested.
–This is a busy role. You should be flexible and able to reprioritise tasks constantly.
–Graduated from an accredited college or university with a degree or equivalent;
–Relevant experiences in a professional environment preferred;
–Proactive, organised, detailed-minded, and able to work independently;
–Friendly, helpful, observant, an effective team player with strong communication skills;
–Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin); and
–Available asap til early Dec 2021, full-time.
