World Press Photo 2016

On display will be over 150 arresting and compelling images from the World Press Photo competition, the world’s most prestigious annual press photography contest founded in 1955. This year’s competition attracted a total of 82,951 images by 5,775 photographers from 128 countries. These photos take us through the pivotal moments in the past year and are divided into 8 categories, namely Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, General News, Long-term Projects, Nature, People, Sports, and Spot News. The works inspire us to contemplate upon the various humanity issues we face today. “Hope for a New Life” by Australian photographer Warren Richardson was selected by the jury as the World Press Photo of the Year 2015.
